Education About our workshops All of our programmes are designed to give students the most positive and engaging experience possible. Although many of the subjects our workshops deal with are serious and sensitive, we believe that enjoyment is key to effective learning. We use a diverse range of techniques, exercises and activities to ensure that we cater to all learning styles, and to build energy and momentum within the sessions we deliver. Our programmes can be delivered ‘off the shelf’ or tailored to meet your specific requirements - although we enjoy delivering these tried and tested programmes, we also enjoy new challenges! We are also often commissioned to design brand new workshops for Curriculum or PSHE days – tell us what you’re looking for, and we’ll do our best to design something to suit.
Anti-Bullying Workshops Capacity: Up to 120 students per session Key Stage(s): 2 and 3 Duration: 0.5 – 1 day Originally created for Hertfordshire Constabulary, and successfully delivered to over 3000 students since 2006, these highly interactive workshops give students the opportunity to explore the issue of bullying through roleplay, games, discussion, performance and reflection. Ideal for Curriculum and PSHE days, the sessions cover all types of bullying, understanding the feelings of the bully/bullied, positive ways of dealing with bullying and how we treat those around us.
Healthy Eating, Healthy Living! Capacity: Up to 60 students per session Key Stage(s): 2 Duration: 0.5 day These fun and engaging workshops were designed in 2007 for East Herts Council, and have since been delivered in over 50 schools across Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. Using an energetic mixture of games, movement, discussion and performance, students explore the importance of a balanced diet, exercise, food groups and what they do for us, and how much is too much. The workshops ends with the presentation of live ‘adverts’ created by the students, which can then be shown to other students in school (an optional, but popular extra!)
Moving Up – Transition Workshops Capacity: Up to 120 students per session Key Stage(s): 2 and 3 Duration: 1 day Closely following SEAL guidelines, these workshops have been developed with Primary and Secondary schools in London and Hertfordshire to address the themes of managing change, self-awareness, identity, empathy and interacting with others. Students explore these issues through structured roleplay, trust exercises, discussion and group activities. Students also have a chance to reflect on recent or upcoming changes (usually transition) through a ‘Creativity Carousel’, in which they have opportunities to share there thoughts and feelings using a variety of media.
